The posture that must be maintained before/ after performing a Prone asana is to lie down on front side of the chest and abdomen with the chin on the floor and both hands lying besides the thighs, and palms resting on the floor.
The resting pose for all Sitting asanas before and after performing is the sitting position with both legs together and stretched, toes erect, spine erect and both hands straight and palms resting on the floor.
Before/ after performing a standing pose: while remaining at rest before/ after a standing pose one should stand with his feet close to each other, heels and the toes touching each other and hands touching the thigh.
The resting posture for all Supine poses before and after doing an asana is to lie down on the back with legs together, straight extended, the toes erect and hands straight and palms resting on the floor.
